About Me

Hi there!

I’m Hedy Song, a junior studying Operations Research and Engineering at Cornell University. I love working at the intersection of data, optimization, and machine learning and turning complex problems into structured, data-driven solutions.

My projects span from building exam scheduling models that improve fairness and efficiency to developing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems that enhance LLM accuracy. I enjoy using Python, SQL, and statistical modeling to make data meaningful and actionable.

Beyond data analysis, I lead Cornell’s Chinese Drama Society and help teach Python as a CS 1110 consultant. I'm also an Academic Excellence Workshop facilitator for Calculus II and III. I value collaboration, creativity, and clear communication in everything I do.
